In my current position as Systems Administrator for Richmond County Schools, I manage a variety of systems and platforms which demonstrate my versatility and adaptability in the IT field. I am committed to maintaining high standards of security and efficiency, and I have a deep understanding of system operations.

What I Do

Mobile Device Management

In the realm of device management, I proficiently utilize a range of tools to ensure seamless operation and management of various devices. For iPads, I have have experience with Mosyle, a robust mobile device management solution that allows for efficient control and security. For Windows machines and Macs, I employ MECM (SCCM) and Endpoint Manager (Intune), powerful systems management software that enable comprehensive management of devices and applications. Additionally, I have experience using the MDM Raddix with our Smart Panels, ensuring optimal performance and functionality. My skills in device management ensure that all devices under my care are well-maintained, secure, and fully operational.

Infrastructure

In the sphere of infrastructure management, my proficiency is extensive and multifaceted. I adeptly handle TelcentrU for Intercom systems, PC Duress (a trusted panic alarm system), and SCW (our district's IP based security camera system) to uphold a secure and safe learning environment. I have spent time working with Windows Printer Management/Papercut to increase the efficency of printer deployment and allow for secure release printing. I have also working with Rapid Identity to help automate the creation of student and staff accounts in the district. In addition, I helped with the managemetn of VMWare to improve our virtual infrastructure. My growing skills in infrastructure management play a pivotal role in maintaining a secure, efficient, and interconnected environment.

Coding

In the field of coding, I bring a dynamic set of skills to the table. I regularly use PowerShell in my daily work, leveraging its powerful scripting capabilities for effective device management and task automation. This allows me to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. I'm also expanding my skill set to include web development languages - HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This website stands as a testament to my first foray into these languages, and I'm excited about the potential they hold. Additionally, I have some experience with Python, a versatile language known for its readability and wide range of applications. My coding skills, while diverse, are continually growing as I explore new languages and technologies.

Educational Technology

In the realm of educational technology, I possess both instructional and technical skills. As a former teacher, I acquired proficiency in a wide range of educational technologies, leveraging them to enhance the learning experiences of my students. Since transitioning to IT within the school district, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with technology facilitators and teachers. Together, we have explored, identified, and implemented innovative technologies to enrich the educational landscape within the district.
